160 Day

For 160 day we had to collect 160 items, then we made them into a picture. 

Here is Alfie and Axels collection.

We have made all our pictures into a book. It is in our class library, come in and have a read.

Water, water, water!!!

We have been carrying out lots of experiments with water.

 Day One Experiments

We put water in lots of things and then put them in the freezer.

Can you guess what this big piece of ice was in?

We put ice-cubes into hot water and into cold water to see what happened.

Day Two Experiments

We put a big block of ice in the frying pan, turned it on, and watched to see what would happen.




Our ice melted, it turned into water and then it disappeared!!!!!!

From our other experiments we thought that the light made our ice melt. So we put a cup of ice on the table, and another cup in the cupboard in the dark to see what would happen.

Grandparents day

Grandparent Rap

It's Grandparents' Day and we're here to say,
"We love our Grandparents in a major way."
So sit right down and take a seat,
And enjoy Room 14, it can't be beat!
Some Grandparents are skinny. Some eat a lot.
Some are funny. Some are not.
Some short, some tall, some big, some small.
It doesn't matter. We love them all.

Thanks for coming and spending time with us in Room 14. We loved spending time with all of you!

150 Day

 For 150 day Mrs Bloomfield brought in a big box of Magnetics.

We counted out the long colourful ones. We sorted them into rows of ten.
Guess how many thee were?

Yes you were right!
       150

There were 15 rows of ten

15 X 10 = 150

We used them to make things.

  Magnetics are great!!!!!!

Farewell Miss Pain

On Friday was Miss Pain's last day in Room 14.
She has been with us for 7 weeks and we loved having her at Johnsonville School.
Good luck with your teaching Miss Pain, and come back and see us soon!

140 Day

 For 140 day we made birdfeeders.

First we collected all the things we would need.
-toast
-peanut butter
-fat
-seeds

With a buddy we counted out 140 sunflower seeds.

We put our seeds in a cup ready to use.

We mixed the peanut butter with the fat and then spread it on the toast.
Then we put our sunflower seeds on the gooey mix.

We made a hole in the toast and put a piece of wool through to tie them up.

 Finally we sprinkled all the other seeds over and squashed them in.

All our bird feeders ready to take home and hang up.
I hope they all made it home safely and birds are having a nice feed all over Johnsonville!
