Porirua Trip

 Last Tuesday the whole junior syndicate went on a special trip to Porirua.





First we all climbed on the bus and off we went.

When we arrived in Porirua we visited Pataka Museum. Margaret met us showed us an amazing exhibition. There were photos made into movies, with music especially composed to go with the movies. They were very beautiful.

 The photos were of mountains. We used string to copy the pattern of the mountains.

               Next we looked at some pots.

We worked with Linda next. She took us into the museum classroom and helped us make Day/night pictures.

 After lunch it was off to Porirua Aquatic Centre.

What a fabulous day we had!

The Great Geography Challenge Day

 On Thursday was the Great Geography Challenge Day, so everyone came to school dressed up in clothes from a country. Here we are dressed up,  can you guess  everyone's country?

 After we had completed our geography challenge we went down to the hall to check out everyone's costumes. Miss Cleland was the judge for our class. She had to choose her favourite outfit.

She choose Sofya in her Russian outfit. She looked amazing.

When we got back to class Sofya shared some Russian cookies with us. They were round like donuts, but smaller and crunchy.  Thanks Sofya.
